Straight-line winds destroyed a portion of a hangar at Vandalia Municipal Airport on Wednesday evening according to the National Weather Service in St. Charles, Missouri. Airport Manager Chad Feldpouch personally witnessed what he says was a rotating movement that hit the hangar blowing a portion of the hangar off of it's foundation and flipping over a Piper Colt aircraft.
